Now we are in the holiday season it has never been a better time to review your home security.
Two thirds of all burglaries are through a door and with door cylinder attacks
by way of Lock Snapping and Bumping becoming more common, with readily available
instructional videos on the internet and basic tools being easy to get hold of, reviewing home
and business security has never been so important.
Many people believe that their doors
are secure because of the Multi-point Locking System that Door & Window
retailers place so much emphasis on when trying to get your sale, what they
don't tell you is that in most cases the effectiveness of a Multi-point locking
system relies on a cheap, mass produced Euro Cylinder often costing as little as
37p.
A lot of Door & Window manufacturers will not fit High Security Snap and Bump
resistant cylinders in order to keep down costs - we know of at least one nationally
advertised company who do not fit snap & bump resistant cylinders as standard, plus many more.
Don't take a chance this summer,
take a look at your door, even take out the cylinder (more
